On other days, the joint could be a dull, dreary place. People came to drown their sorrows using money they didn't have and tell stories everyone had already heard. But some days, like today, it was practically roaring with life. The stories were just as stale, but everyone felt so good they barely remembered their own name, let alone another man's tale. They seemed to be happy just to be alive. That's what the surface showed, anyway. A closer look and there was no telling what you would find. But the only thing Michelle Dumas was looking at was her hand. The man across from her, if he man was even the proper term, was the only one left at the table. Most of the remaining money was on his side. If she overplayed this hand, she would have to get up and go just like the others. The problem was, a straight was a darn good hand. It was only eight high, but the odds were still in her favor. She might not get a better opportunity, so she couldn't underplay it, either. “What did you say your name was again, mister, or is it still master?” She asked playfully, stalling as she thought about what she was going to do. She took a deep breath, “Alright, I'm all in,” she said as she slid the rest of her money into the center. Had to play big to make it big. Maybe he'd fold and she'd make a little off the ante. Not great but it would be something. She stared at him as blankly as she could once the money was in the pile. Her poker face wasn't the best, but there wasn't much for her face to betray. She had a solid hand. It just wasn't unbeatable. Note: she's using the term 'master' in the sense of a boy or teenage male... not like servant/master. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mister_(Mr.)

Valerio had been working all day, an airship had some troubles with the engine, and none of the other employees knew how to handle it, leaving it all to Valerio. The young man was tired and fed up, could hardly wait for his shift to be over. No, it wasn't like he didn't like his job, in fact, he loved it.
dim light, girls in short skirts, men in suits, drinks and liquor. He was wearing a white shirt, unbuttoned down to his chest, revealing his tanned skin. A girl on the other side of the table, long dark hair, beautiful skin and eyes like diamonds. Valerio couldn't help himself but smile, thinking about her, naked. He noticed she said something, looking at her with his sparkling green eyes, not caring to answer her stupid question, he wouldn't let her trick him, not this time. He really had a chance to win a lot. Usually he would prefer women over money, but not today, not with this amount of money.
He looked at his cards, he had a Full house. He had been really lucky with this game, and he had no reason to give up just yet. But this girl, she was a rather good player too, either that or just very lucky. Either way, he refused to give up. "All in.." He said with a smirk on his face, he waited for a moment before he also slid the money into the center.
(sorry for any mistakes.. I'm not very good with poker.. haha )

She was disappointed that he didn't reply to her question. Instead, he just smiled at her, which just put her made her feel a little more nervous. So much for that tactic. And there was no way she'd be winning a staring contest, either. “Not one for talking and playing, gotcha,” she said less confidently as she looked back at her cards and away from the look he was giving her. What was this that weird piece of hair, anyway? Looking at it made her want to try out having something like that as well. But there was no way she could get the end to curl in the manner that his did.
Michelle nodded when she called his bet, her own smiling forming again as if the power of positive thought had any power in this game. Now there was nothing to do but show what they had. “Alright then~” She chimed as she began to lay out her cards one by one. “I got a 3, 4, a 5, a 6 and~ a 7.” She oozed confidence as she looked over to see what his hand would be. “So what do you got?” Come on three of a kind or two pair. Everything else needed to stay in the deck. The money in the middle of the table was calling her name.
(the important stuff is right <3 )

Valerio didn't have a problem talking to girls, but not during a game of poker. He knew he wouldn't be able to stop himself from flirting or commenting on her body, so he kept his mouth shut for now. As she revealed her cards, he couldn't help but smile. He would win, really. It was really hard for him to understand, usually being such a bad poker-player. But not today.
"Nice cards.." He started his sentence and slowly put his cards down on the table for everyone to see. "But not good enough." his voice was deep and charming, but not that of an adult man. You could easily figure out that he couldn't be older than 20, judging by his voice and his kinda cute face. So, this was the end of the game, right? He had won all the money.. right? "Well then.. I guess I'll be taking these little babies home with me." He said as he started to collect his money, smiling, so happy that he was just about to start giggling and laughing.

Shock took over her face as he sat down a full house. She bent over the table to make sure. Really? He had to draw that good of a hand the one time she had a really solid one herself? But there was no denying the facts. Well that just blew. She sighed and plopped back down in her seat. “Yeah I guess so. Good game.” She wasn't a good enough loser for that to sound totally sincere, but it wasn't totally bratty, either. He certainly seemed happy.
“Don't spend it all in one place,” she smiled a little. The pile wasn't filled with just her money, there had been a few others who had tossed in as well earlier. That's what had made her want it all the more. She looked around a little to see what was going within the rest of the joint. Didn't seem to be too much and the evening was still pretty young. “Athough, we could bet for other things if you don't have to be anywhere..” She offered, looking back at him.

With a huge smile across his face he put his money into a rather large bag, he really hoped he would be able to get home without anyone stealing the money. He knew there were a lot of thieves around, better keep the money a safe place. He looked at her, she seemed very disappointed, something he could easily understand. "Don't worry, I won't use these money for gambling. They got a better purpose." All he could think about was how he had to get that awesome steam-engine for his boat. Finally he had the chance to really upgrade it.
Some people had gathered around the table, looking at the two young persons playing. They all seemed to be waiting for something more, like it wasn't over yet. The tanned boy looked up at her, did she want to continue? "Well, what do you got? It better be something good." He said, giggling a bit. What could be better than all these money? He knew some women would offer themselves during poker, but she didn't seem like the type to do such a thing. Maybe she had some jewelry? He had no idea what she was going to offer.

Even though she hadn't meant it
The thought of betting her body hadn't crossed her mind. While it did exist all around her, it wasn't part of her reality. But she hadn't meant a piece of jewelry either. “Nothing of value, not that I'd be willing to bet, anyway,” she confessed. She tilted her head slightly as she thought of how to phrase her idea.
“So you don't have to bet any money, instead, how about we play it like a game of truth or dare. Without the truths... When you wanna raise the bet, you add a dare to the list for the loser to do. We'll have to set some ground rules, of course. There are some things that'd be worse for one of us than the other.” For instance, she wasn't about to show off her chest while that wouldn't be as big a deal for her opponent. And there was likely to be things he wouldn't want to do that wouldn't be hard for her.
“How's that sound?” If he didn't like, that was his choice, but she didn't feel like darts and there wasn't much other entertainment around.

Valerio wasn't so sure about this idea, what would he gain from it? Also he didn't want to loose his money. But she did say truth or dare, right? Which meant he didn't have to give her money if he lost. Maybe he should give it a try after all. All he could loose was his pride, something that wasn't of much importance to him. Better to laugh about it if he did something stupid. "Okay, I'm in.."
He smiled gently to the people around him, waiting for the young couple to start this new and rather different game of poker. But what should he bet? He couldn't think of much, maybe take their clothes off. Well, that would bring back memories of school and camping. Curious young teenagers. Maybe he could make her say or do something really stupid and embarrassing. Hmm, he had to think about it.

Once he agreed to her makeshift plan, Michelle began to think of what kinds of things she could get him to do that she wouldn't feel too humiliated if she had to do it herself. Honestly not that much came to her mind at first. She wasn't particularly creative and she wasn't all that cruel. In retrospect, this hadn't been her smartest idea since the boy across from her could easily be both. Since he had all her money, she already knew he could be lucky when he needed to be.
“Let's start off easy, for the ante, the loser has to hold ice in their left hand the whole next hand. How does that sound?” It wasn't humiliating and it shouldn't do any lasting damage. But it would be uncomfortable and that was good enough for an ante. Without seeing her cards, she wasn't about to bet anything more extreme.

"Well, that sounds like an easy start." Valerio had expected much worse. It would be uncomfortable yeah, and it would probably sting quite much. It would make the loser very unfocused on the game. But it wasn't something that he would refuse to do, how hard could an ice-cube be? Or did she maybe mean more than once ice-cube? Anyway it would be icy cold.
"Excuse me, we want to play some more." He said to the girl handing out the cards. She nodded and started to hand out card for the young persons, now facing each other, alone at the table. "And also, could you bring a glass filled with ice-cubes?" He hadn't any ice-cubes left in his Soda. Yeah, he didn't drink when he gambled, it would make him unfocused and too full of himself. Also, he couldn't afford to drink, not at a fancy place like this. Maybe he would head to the pub later, to spend some of the money he won, but he hadn't decided first. That awesome engine was calling for him.
