He had had his first day off in a week and had planned to just laze at home, so was annoyed when his brother had kicked him out of their house, claiming he needed to "socialize more". It wasn't his fault he was so busy and he had found time to date a few women (and chat with many more) in the past few years so that counted as socializing right? All Lovino knew was that he could not come back until that night and so he had to spend the day out.
So without any aim or purpose he wandered the city, going to the trade district and stopping into a book store, running into a long-haired brunette with a pretty smile. He flirted with her for a bit, making her blush at his compliments until she mentioned off-hand she should be getting back to her husband. Having been shot down he quietly shuffled away any thoughts of getting a date and gave her a smile, apologizing for taking up her time.
After that fiasco he did not feel like talking to anyone else that day so he paid for a book and put it in his satchel, continuing his walk, going further south on a whim. As it got later in the day he saw the lights starting to go on and realized he had ended up in the Electrical District. He was kind of fond of this district. You didn't see many stars in the sky above the city, but the electrical district was like a starry sea especially when seen from the top of a hill he liked.
Lovino felt like seeing that actually so with the sun setting he walked a few blocks uphill before end up on the top of a hill overlooking the district. It wasn't an amazing view you'd have to get on top of one of the nearby buildings for that, but it was magical in its own way when it got really dark. There was a cafe behind him that he liked, but he ignored it, standing on the other side of the street leaning on a ledge and looking out over the view. He probably wouldn't admit it to his brother, but maybe him being kicked out that day hadn't been such a bother.
As he tilted his head to watch the sunset he thought, yeah, this hadn't been a terrible day so far.

Smiling at all the pretty lights, Antonio wandered uphill toward one of his favorite places to eat dinner. He supplied the rabbit they served and so had a discount there, but the real reason he enjoyed it was because of the view. You could see the lights from the electrical district, just a street over, reflected on the water of the ocean. It was as close to the clear nights at sea as he could get.
Spotting a dark shape at the top of the hill, Antonio slowed down. The last thing he needed was to be mugged on his way to dinner. The first dinner he’d eaten out in months in fact. Ready to run, or defend himself, Toni slowly approached the top of the hill. Once he was close enough to see who it was his tense demeanor melted away entirely.
“Lovino! Hola mi amigo~!” He jogged the last little bit and threw his arm in a friendly way over the shorter’s shoulders. “How are yout his fine evening? Enjoying the lights, no? They’re muy hermoso~!”

He had gotten distracted looking at the view so he didn't notice anyone else was there until his name was called out, making him jump a little, looking over and relaxing when he saw that it was only Antonio, the grocer. Stupid overly friendly Antonio who didn't seem to realize that he didn't feel like chatting when he bought tomatoes from him and yet somehow always ended up doing so anyways. Though he only responded to tell the man off, or at least that's what he told himself.
He didn't react when an arm was thrown over his shoulders, chalking it up to the man just being his usual friendly self. That didn't mean he was pleased by the invasion of his space though. "Ciao bastardo, didn't expect to run into you here." He had half a mind to pull the arm off his shoulder, but choose not to to save himself from the man's pouting. The Italian didn't know how old the other man was, but definitely too old to pout that well. Instead he just looked back out over the ledge at the lights. "Ehh the lights are ok. I just came here because my brother kicked me out of the house for the day and I got bored."
He turned his head back to look at the other man. "What are you doing out here?"

He was most definitely not too old to pout, so it was a good thing Lovino didn’t try to escape his arm. Antonio’s face lit up nearly brighter than the lights of the district at the grudging acceptance of his touch. “I was going to eat dinner at Le Luci Della Città(1)~! They serve muy deliciouso Coniglio e Verde(2)!” He gasped and let Lovino go to grab both his shoulders, smiling at him widely. “Yous hould come have dinner with me! Your brother probably kicked you out because you spend too much time at home so let me buy you dinner! That way you can tell him you spent some time with an amigo, no? And he’d stop worrying about you!”
Feeling good about his brilliant plan, Antonio waited for Lovino to agree. He was pretty confident the younger man would since it had all the things Lovino loved. Free food, an upscale restaurant and making his brother happy.
1- The City Lights 2- ...very delicious Rabbit and Greens.

He frowned, how the hell did this guy know why his brother had kicked him out? For all the grocer knew he could have tons of friends. But, that guy didn't have a terrible idea and he already had wanted to eat at the cafe and well if someone else was willing to pay than all the better. Though, his pride wouldn't let the Spaniard think he'd won that easily.
Lovino reached his arms up and removed the hands off his shoulders with a huff. "Idiot, he didn't kick me out because I spend too much time at home, I spend plenty of time socializing." He was exaggerating a bit, but he did actually spend time out of the house. He occasionally went to one of those stupid parties he and his brother got invited to hosted by some noble family or another. Other times he'd go to the entertainment or trade district and flirt with beautiful women (though that didn't always go well). So yeah he socialized, just not with "friends". "So it's not like my brother's worrying about me either. He probably just wanted to paint or do something else stupid. ...But, if you're offering to pay for dinner then fine. I can accept."

A small pout flitted onto his lips as his arm was removed but he didn’t let that deter him. Hearing Lovino’s agreement to go to dinner he grinned widely and grabbed his shoulders, leaning in to kiss both his cheeks energetically. “Gracias! I’ll treat you to whatever you want there, so don’t worry about how much it might cost!” He didn’t let Lovino have a chance to protest as he grabbed his wrist and dragged him toward the restaurant.
“So your brother paints? Do you like to paint? You seem like you’d probably find it boring! Cooking though, you always have such a good eye for my produce so you must be something in the kitchen! That is, if you cook? I know your something of a noble, no? A friend of mine has all his meals cooked by servants, but I think food tastes better when it’s made with actual passion and care!” He babbled on, clearly overly excited about this entire thing.
Coming to a stop in front of the lit up building, Antonio let his wrist go and spread his arms wide like he was presenting something magnificent. “Here we are!”

Lovino rolled his eyes as he was dragged along, listening to him babble. He understood him only from years of experience having listened to his own brother babble. Still he didn't know why the older man always seemed so excited around him. The grocer was acting a little like how his brother did around girls, but that didn't make sense he wasn't any girl.
The Italian let him keep babbling until they were in front of the cafe. For a second his lips quirked into a smile at his antics before he realized what he was doing, quickly wiping the smile off his face. Rolling his eyes he replied, "You talk too fucking much, let's just go inside before you start an inquisition." With that he walked to the door and opened it, looking over and saying, "Well?"

Laughing, he stepped in, hooking his arm Over Lovino’s shoulders again. “I’ve been told I’m a little excitable, si! Lo siento, I’ll try not to talk too much.” He held up two fingers to indicate how many people were in his party and led Lovino after the waitress. His eyes dipped down, admiring her butt. It was as nice as the man’s under his arm but it wasn’t too bad.
They sat and Antonio glanced over the menu. He had it practically memorized by now, but it never hurt to check for new things. “Hmmmmm, I think you should try the quail! It’s really yummy and if you get the sampler dish it’ll come with rabbit and pork! They go really well with it! It is all on a bed of rice and steamed vegetables.”

As he followed Antonio to the table Lovino looked over to glare at him for being overly touchy-feely again only to find him staring at the waitress' ass. Looking at it he had to admit it was a nice ass, pretty like the rest of her. Whatever tinges of jealousy he felt he blamed on the grocer, telling himself he was just worried that he'd take all of the pretty waitress' attention.
When they were seated he actually listened to the other man, a little surprised that he knew the menu so well. "You weren't kidding about how much you talk, Dio. I'll try the sampler since you're so eager about it." When the waitress came back he flashed her a charming grin and gave her his order, complimenting her on her shoes as well before glancing over at Antonio to give him room to give his order.

Reminding himself that this wasn’t a real date, so Lovino was free to flirt with the waitress if he wanted, Antonio cleared his throat. “The duck today por favor, with some wine for my friend and I? Whatever the chef suggests.” He handed his menu over with a slightly strained smile. He wanted Lovino’s attention, as selfish as that was.
“So Lovino! Did you like the tomatoes I picked out for you last week? I grew them specifically with you in mind this year! No one else enjoys my tomatoes as much as you and your brother!” Which was true. He didn’t enjoy them as much as he enjoyed Lovino enjoying them.
