Arthur looks down at the figure brought him, his leg crossed over the other. He looks down at the other questionably, before looking back up at the crew-mates. He frowns.
"Why do we have a hostage?"
"She, er. She was helping us to fight the others."
"Even though she belongs to the other crew?"
"Yeah."
Arthur looks over, before standing up and sighing. He looks down at Aoife, who's sitting on a sit and has two of the crew-members either side of her.

Aoife fidgets uncomfortably in her seat, a scowl plastered on her face as she looks Arthur up and down. Today really wasn't her day. After escaping one set of pirates, she'd been caught by another. At least there was one good thing about the whole situation. She'd discovered she wasn't the only one with awful eyebrows.
"Technically I wasn't ever part of that other crew, and never will be," she begins dryly, sending a quick glare to the two men standing either side of her. "Just because I was on their ship doesn't mean I was part of their crew."
The redhead crosses her arms over her chest and lets out an irritated huff, trying to avoid Arthur's eyes as he stares down at her. After remaining silent for a while, Aoife decides to explain herself a bit better and sits upright, resting her hands in her lap and making eye contact with the captain, trying to show an air of confidence about her.
"I was fighting the other crew to give them a piece of my mind and get away from those brutes."

Arthur raises an eyebrow as he listens to this, and his expression changes. Softens, even.
"You were held hostage, then?" He sounds angry, angry at what he'd been told. Not at her. He looks up to the crew-mates.
"When will we land next?"
"In a couple of days, maybe less. We need to repair."
Arthur nods, looks back at Aoife, and sighs. His tone is softer.
"When we land, you can go. But until that point you'll have to remain on the ship, unless you feel like falling, flying, or swimming there." He remarks.

Aoife swallows and gives a small nod, a little surprised, yet relieved by Arthur's sudden change in mood. She lets out a sigh when she sees the sympathetic look in his eyes.
"If being locked in a cabin for months against your will is being held hostage, then yes, I was."
Aoife's ears prick up at the conversation going on between the pirates. It sounds like they were going to let her go! She can't believe her luck. Aoife smiles warmly, relieved.
"I can go? Well, thank you captain..." she pauses, her bright mood suddenly vanishing. Taking in a deep breath as realisation begins to dawn on her again, she shakes her head."But I don't have anywhere to go."

Arthur tilts his head, and frowns.
"Don't you? But if you were taken hostage, surely you would've been taken hostage from somewhere? He remarks, sighing. "I don't want to keep you on this ship. I hardly want anyone here who wants to be. From what I know your Captain was nothing but a dick to begin with."
His eyes narrow.
"I hope he didn't think he had the right to do anything with you."

Aoife leans back slightly in her seat and idly twirls a red curl around her finger as she listens to Arthur.
"It's a very long story, captain. One I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear." She replies as she gazes off in the other direction. "I did have somewhere to go, but then I found out I didn't belong there... So quite honestly I have no idea where I'm meant to be any more." She gives a light chuckle and shrugs. "But it seems I keep ending up on pirate ships."
She glances up at him, titling her head ever so slightly to one side.
"Oh no! Nothing was... done to me." she shakes her head vigorously. "Well, at least I don't remember anything being done."

Arthur looks a little relieved.
"Hm, well, that's good. But I have more than enough time to listen to your story, and as you are on my ship, I demand you tell me it."
He settles himself down, placing his feet onto the desk before him.

Aoife blinks at him in surprise and gives him a nod.
"Well... where to start," she begins slightly nervously, shifting in her seat. Nobody had heard her story before, and it might sound a little hard to believe. "I'm from Hibernia; I was brought up there and lived there for almost all my life. Then one day I find out I'm actually not Hibernian and that I was found in Granor when I was young, on the streets. So I was taken back to Hibernia." Aoife pauses for breath, quickly glancing at Arthur to see his reaction to what had been said so far.
"When I was told that I wasn't from Hibernia, I came to Atheros to find out... who I was. But it was never a home for me." The redhead again pauses, lowering her eyes and staring at her feet. "I was in Granor for about two years, trying to find myself when I was kidnapped by those other pirates. And now I'm here." She looks up again, staring at Arthur sadly. "I really don't know where I should be, though."

"Why don't you return to Hibernia?" He questions, shrugging. "If you were the one to leave, I doubt whoever was looking after you wanted you to move. Maybe you should go back there, or try and find word in Granor. There's plenty of opportunity there, just don't get involved in the wrong crowds."
There's a sudden smirk.
"But if you managed so long on a Pirate ship without anything happening to you, then you must be something to reckon with. You should be fine in Granor." He remarks, waving the other off as though that was the end of the conversation.

For a moment, Aoife looks confused by what Arthur had said. Then, without warning, she bolts upright, making the chair topple over. She slams her hands down on the desk in front of her and leans forward, a look of hurt mixed with anger on her face.
"I don't want to go back to Hibernia! Not just yet!" she yells, trying to hide the clear fact she is upset and trying to stop her voice from cracking. "Not after everything I knew turned out to be a lie! Would you want to go back to somewhere you knew wasn't true? Wouldn't you want to know what was real?" She stares at him for a while, her expression full of sadness.
After a moment of silence, Aoife turns her face away at the sight of his smirk and lets her hands fall to her side. Closing her eyes, she wraps her arms round herself protectively and begins slowly pacing across the room.
"And I'm most certainly not going back to Granor if it's still being run by those awful Draconians," she replies bitterly, refusing to look at Arthur as she speaks.
