Without a doubt, it seemed she had finally reached the end of their patience. "Their" being the few superiors she, unfortunately, still came across who actually gave a damn about her gender and the fact she was still abandoning the desk work she was assigned in favour of training with the other recruits who had, to her great satisfaction, grown to enjoy her company despite the odds.
Erzsébet's footsteps echoed as she walked down the empty and rectangular corrider, her strides even and purposeful, albeit a tad louder than what was probably necessary. Not that she really cared about that; she didn't want to be here, wasting her time getting another lecture when she could be outside, right now, proving to the other men that she could do just as well as them at anything their drill sergeant threw at them.
Then again, she noted bitterly, her hands tightening into loose fists that swung slightly at her sides, that was precisely why she found herself forced to come here in the first place.
Erzsébet glanced at the doors on her left, gaze flicking over the names briefly as she searched for the title and german name she needed to find; Commodore Beilshmidt or something, it really didn't matter to her at this point. She knew much too well that all she would be greeted with was another rant about the fucking impropriety that was displayed in her assuming a man's role in the army, that she should know her place and not assume she would be given favours just because she just so happened to have some slight talent in the field and--
She jerked to a pause, her fist a mere few centimeters from slamming into the wall beside her, frozen in place as her seething glare tried to bore a hole in the ground to somehow find its way into some stupid general's head and kill him on the spot. Now was not a good time to get pissed off; the last thing she needed, after all, was to give this man a reason to kick her out, especially after it had taken so long to even find a remotely fitting--
A sharp intake of breath, her eyes snapped shut, and Erzsébet pulled herself together; spine straight, head held high, her arms held behind her back as she walked on again, finally stopping in front of the door where her presence was apparently needed.
She tried her best to relax her scowl into a small frown, taking in another deep breath before knocking on the door lightly. So help her, she hoped this wouldn't result in her throwing his desk at him or something equally violent; she needed an ally with his rank, not another enemy.
