For years the continent of Crystus has been in a state of utter chaos, caught up in the endless wars of the Western and Eastern Kingdoms and the Barbarian Tribes. The most recent chain of events has led to the downfall of several countries throughout the continent as empires are built and expand across the known world. Peace is no longer an option for any country, and it has become a game of conquer or be conquered. Alliances are being formed and enemies are being made, and it's only a matter of time before war breaks out again.
Unknown to the peoples of Crystus, an evil is brewing just beyond their reach. Mysterious forces are at work, resurrecting Dark Magics thought to have been destroyed long ago. War is no longer the only threat to the land, but will people notice in time..?
Basics
Sleeping Sun is a friendly fantasy roleplay environment which supports creativity and thinking outside the box. We have plenty of places to roleplay in, and a good range of species available.
What We Offer
Sleeping Sun offers people a chance to:
Create their own Species If you have a species idea, you can apply to have it added as a species on the forum. The species doesn't have to be totally original, but unless it is a typical fantasy species we don't have yet, you have to make sure you have permission to use it.
Play a Leader Right now we have a LOT of leadership positions available which people can apply to take. We're looking for active roleplayers to help lead the nations of the country and further the ability to plot on the forum.
Available Species and Occupations
We have a good range of species including: Humans, Elves, Halflings, Dwarves, Anikami (anthros), Taurs (Centaur-like creatures), Dragons, Drakes, Unicorns, Phoenixes and Gryphons.
As far as occupations go we allow Magic Users of all sorts, dragonriders, hunters, blacksmiths, knights, you name it, we probably have it.
Time Period
Sleeping Sun's timeperiod is a splice of something along the lines of Feudal Japan, Medieval Europe and the Renaissance.
