Irina is, in short, a rather unlucky sort of girl. Things don’t like to go her way, and she’s always getting dragged into horrible messes that she otherwise wants no part in. Still, she manages to be incredibly optimistic about things, and always looks on the bright side of everything. She thinks kindly of pretty much everyone, and looks for the best in all people (even the people that are supposed to be her enemies).
She acts incredibly motherly towards people, and will often call them “hun” or “dear” or any other affectionately motherly names. Despite being in the military, she really doesn’t hate anyone. She simply saw it as both a chance to be with her sister again, and a chance to help people. She thinks the military is doing the right thing, and is convinced they’re helping people, but can’t help but also feel bad for the people they’re fighting. Would not hesitate to help an injured pirate or Ruthian, despite the fact they are the “enemy”.
Her feelings are very easily hurt, and she is very easily moved to tears. Though she will try to be brave and “tough” in public, sometimes she finds this very hard. Though luckily she is rather oblivious to most embarrassing or rude comments aimed at her. In fact, she’s rather oblivious to a lot of things. Most things seem to sail right over her head, not that she minds. Sometimes she’s better off not knowing what’s going on around her.
She has a very stubborn streak, and doesn’t like to bemoan her issues. Because of this, it is very often that she will get hurt and not tell anyone, trying to take care of the problem herself. She just doesn’t want anyone to worry about her. It’s not that it hurts her pride or anything, she’s just too used to being the one worrying to worry about others.

The city was full of life, and there was certainly a lot going on, but that wasn’t a surprise. There was always something interesting going on in the city, but she wasn’t interested in any of that. While a doctor’s job was never really over, she was happy to take a break from being cooped up in her room waiting for directions from a higher ranking officer. They could survive without her for a little while, she needed the fresh air. Keeping a woman who loved the wilds in a small room in an Inn was hardly a wise idea. Even the kindest of people got irritable if kept like that.
So she had set out to get some fresh air, slipping outside of the city limits. She needed the exercise and to be back in the wilderness, with nature. Her only company on the walk was a stray dog which she’d been taking care of during her stay in the city, and a book. The book was a particularly old copy of Peter Pan which she had carried with her since her childhood. She could remember reading it to her brother and sister to get them to sleep at night.
The book, and more specifically the copy she had with her, held very strong sentimental values. It was one of the last things she still had from the days when her family had been together. It made her think of Ivan when she read it, of how he used to say she reminded him of Wendy. Even now that she was full grown sometimes she would read the book and imagine she was Wendy, and that her sister was Tinkerbell and her brother, Peter Pan himself.
A smile crossed her face as she sat down under the shade of a tree, the dog coming to lie down at her side. She stroked it’s head with a low chuckle, asking “Have you ever heard this story собака?” The dog made no answer and she giggled “Surely I must have told you it at least once? No matter. I’ll just tell you again. It’s a very good story you know!” She smiled warmly at the dog as she opened up the book and began to read it the story.
