° P-ersonality ||
Angelique is both wary, and friendly. She has a big heart, quite willing to accept people, though she does have limits, if they get on her nerves too much. Not quite a lover of romance as much as her brother, she is far from innocent, though, quite able to make lewd comments, though considering she has been raised as a proper lady her whole life, she doesn’t often. The girl can be proper, if she wants to, showing off her upbringing, but is a free spirit, shifting and changing like the tides, and always, always, with a smile on her face. That is, if she trusts the people around her.
When she doesn’t, well, that is where her more serious side comes out. Angelique is very wary of those associated with the military, and will either bury that fact underneath a cheerful smile, as to not draw suspicions, or show them nothing but scowls and frowns. As for burying emotions, the girl has gotten quite good at that, as a result from living undercover and smiling. She doesn’t /like/ to hide her smiles, preferring to present the world with her real face and not any masks, but her job requires her to have many facets, and so she does, hiding beneath a demure attitude.
A curious person, Angelique can be fascinated by the littlest things, occasionally acting like the child she quickly grew past a long time ago. The only time she’s truly playful, though, is when she’s flirting, or in the water, messing around and having fun. However, she is a respectful person, for the most part, leaving people alone when they truly want to be, and giving the honor due to someone of their station. If she gets too close to higher ups, in anything, though, she’s quite willing to drop all formalities, even if they don’t think it’s proper.

• That she'll never be able to make contact with her brother, or if she does, he won't recognize or believe her.
• That, since they've been apart for too long, if she and her brother do find each other... They'll be too different, and the loving relationship they had before will not be there.
° L-esser known facts ||
• When she was younger, she had a plushie fish, that she would take with her /everywhere/. That only ended when the tattered thing fell apart at the seams, a fact which made her cry for a whole week.
• The only thing that Angelique can cook properly is Seafood. Otherwise, people complain that she puts way too many spices in them.
• She doesn't know how to use a gun, but her preferred weapon is a meat cleaver, something she nicked from the kitchen. Every since she successfully escaped, she's been practicing with it, the only 'weapon' that an elderly nursemaid could buy without drawing suspicion.
° G-oals ||
• To help this 'Gaul' with whatever he's trying to do
• To find her brother
• To bring down the military, even if she has to personally slaughter everyone in it.

° H-istory ||
Born to a general and a well-known socialite, Angelique grew up pampered, adoring her older brother, and hanging on almost every word that he said. However, their parents disappeared when she was nine, leaving Francis to be recruited to the military, and, when he refused, her to be taken and given house arrest at the court of Granor. It was bearable, for a little bit, but Angelique longed for her ocean, for her freedom, and not for the stuffy courts that she had found amusing in the past. However, her nurse-maid, Madeline, kept her grounded in reality, reminding her that she had to stay, and giving her numerous reasons as to why that was so.
Eight years. That was how long she remained in court arrest, seeing her beloved brother infrequently and slowly, slowly becoming immune to the list of reasons, to her duties, to her role. It was madness, that she be locked up here this long, and so she plotted an escape. It was fairly simple, as many of the servants and the non-military guards were on her side, and so Angelique was confident she could pull it off. That is, until one of her waiting women, Alice, betrayed her. Horrified, both by the betrayal and the consequences, Angelique was giving a fake mockery of a trial, and, no matter how much she protested her innocence to the ridiculous accusations, the seventeen-year-old was sentenced to death by hanging. However, it didn’t happen. At least, not to her.
One of her servants, Elisa Morel, bore a startling resemblance to her, though she knew it would never fool her brother. Elisa came forward, offering to be hung in her place, and though Angelique vehemently refused, the plan was carried out without her, and, making sure with the help of a few guards that Francis would see the back of her, Elisa hung in her place, while Angelique, disguised as Elisa, made off with Madeline, tears in her eyes.
In honor of her memory, she took up the name “Elisa Morel”, for her dear servant that was willing to give her life. Staying underground, amongst those that dwell at the rock-bottom, Angelique heard whispers of someone called ‘Gaul’, who wanted people to spy for him, amongst the courts. So she sought him out, and, with much demonstration of her skills at deception, though she never truly saw him, just subordinates, she became a courtesan, back amongst the courts once more, and sufficiently enough not looking like herself, with far tanner skin, and older. Of course, it helped that during the last few years she was under house arrest at the court, she hadn’t mingled much, if any.
She hoped that, being a courtesan and hearing of her brother’s lewd reputation, she’d be passed over to him, eventually, and she could speak to him, but it has yet to happen, and so, she dutifully collects information, passing money to Madeline, hoping for just a whisper of her brother, so she can seek him out.

° R-oleplay example ||
From an Aslyum AU:
Angelique sat on the chair, perfectly motionless except for the slight tap of her right foot on the white tiled floor. White. Everything was white here, white like Grand-Mere's hair. No blue. Blue like that water, the rain, Mr. Poisson, her favorite dress.
"Miss Morel?" Oh, it was a woman. Woman like mother. Shifting her eyes onto the white-clad nurse, the girl evaluated her. Blonde hair, like Mr. Jenkins. Brown eyes, like Grand-Mere. White dress, Why white? No colors, colors, colors.
"Miss Morel, I know you can hear me." Hear? Never said anything about not hearing. Was looking at her, right? Hadn't moved, but was looking. Watching, watching.
A sigh from the no color woman, echoing echoing slightly in the white white room. "Answer me, Miss Morel." Answer? Talk, give reply, no color woman wasn't Grand-Mere, but supposed to answer. Answer what? Say what?
"...white..." A mumur of word, audible yet quiet. There! Answer! Now go away no color woman! Angelique's foot continued tapping on the floor, her brown eyes blinking languidly. No color woman not going away, staying and smiling. Not creepy smile like Mama smile, but bad smile.
Another sigh. Why? Oh, that was a rhyme! Like in a book! The corners of the girl's mouth twitched slightly upward, before they returned to stillness once more as the woman spoke. "Miss Morel, we need to go to your room." Room? Go home then? Angelique shifted slightly in her chair, so that her whole body was angled towards the woman, who smiled slightly at the recognition.
"Come on, Miss Morel. Stand up please." Stand? On wobbling ground, wobbling legs, tilting world? Can't hold, not Grand-Mere, so by own? No one? The girl pursed her lips slightly, staring at the woman, before ceasing movement of her foot and standing up slowly, using the armrests of the chair to support herself as she stood. No color woman smile, but better, not as creepy. "Good job. Now can you come with me?" The woman held out her hand toward the teenage girl, offering it.
For a moment, Angelique just stared at the woman, her eyes moving down from her face and traveling down her arm to rest at her hand. No! Not Grand-Mere, no hold! Bad like Mama! She shook her head slowly, staring at the hand, and the woman's smile dimmed and she retracted it. "Very well, then. Follow me, Miss Morel." Follow, one foot in front of the other, slowly carefully, don't fall, hurts when fall. white floor, white walls, no outside, no water, no blue, no color, color, color...
